The Italian-based label Schema Records has recently released a limited-edition 7” single featuring two tracks that producer, composer, guitarist, DJ, and spiritual jazz dance pioneer Nicola Conte recorded with modern-day jazz vocal great Gregory Porter back in 2011 on Conte’s previously CD/digital-only Impulse! Records album, Love & Revolution.
The superb new UK-based Echo Chamber Recordings has released a white-label 7″inch” release of a brilliant cover of Airto Moreira’s jazz dancefloor classic “Samba de Flora” by the North Argentinian group Romero Bros.

Over the last several weeks, legendary UK-based DJ and radio broadcaster Colin Curtis has continued with his impressive onslaught of essential releases on his imprint label Colin Curtis Presents with four superb 12” records, all of which take aim at the jazz dancefloor.
Italian-based label Eating Standing follows up their first reissue from Enzo Randisi, with another superb recording from the Palermo (Sicily-Italy) based vibes player, titled Swing Ensemble from 1981.
UK broken beat legend and producer IG Culture returns with his groundbreaking cosmic jazz project Likwid Continual Space Motion (aka LCSM) to release the 18-track full-length album, titled The Remedy, which brilliantly connect the many fabrics of London’s Underground dance music scene.
The latest release from Paul Murphy’s Jazz Room Records features a superb jazz-funk 7inch single from Aflex Combo, which a project led by Japanese producer and multi-instrumentalist Keisuke Yamazoe.
As we move into the middle of summer, we see a slew of standout new releases, including a collection of Joaquin Joe Claussell remixes featuring selections from Nicola Conte’s 2023 full-length Umoja, the brilliant debut from UK producer and multi-instrumentalist David Lyn, the latest Best of Various 12inch from Steve Conry’s Ten Lovers Music, and the fourth and arguably best recording from K15 and Culross Close.
