Jazz Room Records reissues rare 1983 soul jazz gem by organist “Big” John Patton

Legendary Hammond B3 organist “Big” John Patton was one of the most influential artists among the 60s soul jazz movement, releasing numerous classic recordings for Blue Note Records like Along Came John, Let ‘Em Roll, Understanding, and many others. Now, his lesser known but equally brilliant 1983 album, titled Soul Connection, receives a much-welcomed reissue from Paul Murphy’s Jazz Room Records.

Emanative’s 2015 spiritual cosmic jazz classic ‘The Light Years Of The Darkness’ reissued

Originally released back in March of 2015 to help raise awareness and funds for the Steve Reid Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that aims to help people working in music who are in crisis, the highly collaborative album led by drummer and producer Emanative (aka Nick Woodmansey), titled The Light Years Of The Darkness, featuring new renditions of music by Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Don Cherry, Sun Ra, Joe Henderson, Arthur Blythe, and Mary Parks is now being reissued with a secret bonus record.
