Mad About Records releases funky 7inch featuring Webster Lewis & The Spirit Of Atlanta
Portugal’s Mad About Records, which has been releasing some of the rarest jazz, funk, Latin and Brazilian records over the last few years, has recently released a double-sided 7inch single featuring two massive dancefloor scorchers.
The A-side features the Latin-infused jazz dance groover “El Bobo” from legendary producer, arranger and keyboardist/pianist Webster Lewis. This is the first time this track has appeared on a 7inch format. On the flip, the limited-edition release includes the heavy-hitting funk gem “Freddie’s Alive and Well” from the Tommy Stewart and Clarence Carter produced project Spirit of Atlanta. This track is an answer to Curtis Mayfield’s popular Blaxploitation soul classic “Freddie’s Dead”.
Another superb release, which will surely sellout fast, from the Portuguese label!
