Jazz Room Records releases limited edition 7inch featuring two rare jazz dance heaters
Paul Murphy’s Jazz Room Records has a slew of incredible releases on deck for this Spring, and one of the first of these records to come out is a limited-edition double-sided single 7inch, featuring two rare 1969 jazz dance heaters out of Japan.
The 45rpm single kicks off with the title track from The Norio Maeda Trio‘s hard-to-find album Alpha Ray, which is blends Latin flavored grooves with a heavy dose of hard-hitting percussion breaks and piano playing virtuosity. On the flip, is an uptempo soul-jazz theme track from the Japanese thriller film Hakuchu No Shugeki by legendary trumpeter Terumasa Hino and his quintet.
This “must-own” release is limited to just 500 copies, and only available on vinyl with just one pressing planned.
This is another great addition to Paul Murphy and his Jazz Room label’s growing catalog of essential dancefloor focused jazz releases. Highly recommended!
