Bobby Cole’s rare 1967 vocal jazz dance classic ‘A Point Of View’ officially reissued
German-based label Perfect.Toy Records has recently officially reissued one of the greatest vocal jazz recordings of our time in Bobby Cole’s highly obscure 1967 album A Point Of View.
This timeless twelve-track masterpiece, which represents the only album from the late longtime Manhattan lounge singer (who had a longtime residency at Frank Sinatra’s bistro Jilly’s and occasionally arranged and conducted for Judy Garland), includes a mixture of great heartfelt soulful numbers like “I’m Growing Old”, “You Could Hear a Pin Drop”, “The Name Of The Game Is Trouble”, and jazz dance groovers like “You Can’t Build A Life On A Look”, “Heat”, and the all-time classic “A Perfect Day” (which was also recently reissued as 7inch single by Tramp Records).
This well-crafted reissue, which is limited to just 500 copies and was done in cooperation with Bobby Cole’s family, comes in a heavy 1960s-style tip-on cover. An absolutely essential release for vocal and jazz dance fans and collectors.
