Bobby Cole — A Perfect Day

Bobby Cole’s vocal jazz dance classic “A Perfect Day” is reissued by Tramp Records

Bobby Cole’s vocal jazz dance classic “A Perfect Day”, from his hard-to-find 1967 album A Point of View, has just been officially reissued as a 7inch single by the German-based Tramp Records.

Easily one of the greatest vocal jazz tracks of our time, “A Perfect Day” was also included as the opening track on the equally brilliant new Praise Poems Vol. 8 compilation, also released by Tramp. On the b-side, the 45rpm single features the soulful “I’m Growing Old”, which is the closing song on A Point of View.

For vocal jazz fans, this is an absolute essential reissue release that must find a place in your 7inch record case.

Also check out Mop Mop’s incredible 2006 rendition of “A Perfect Day” featuring Jackson Sloan, which has a more jazzy-house feel.
