Through the remarkable restorative and production work of Italy’s Tesla Groove and Cannonball Recordings, a phenomenal previously unreleased gem, titled “Time And Space” from soul great Mike James Kirkland and drumming legend James Gadson is finally completed and put out as a limited-edition double-sided 7inch single.

This soulful release came together after Kirkland himself, sent Alberto Zanini from Cannonball Records, a vocal track he’d been working on in 1980 along with a music line that featured Gadson’s drumming. From there, Alberto’s Cannonball Recordings, with the help of Blue Lotus Productions, basically worked their magic and completed two slightly different, yet brilliant, arrangements of the song. 

This well-crafted four-track 7inch release (which plays at 33rpms) also includes instrumental versions of both track arrangements, and comes with a two-sided picture sleeve.

40-plus years in the making, it’s great to see this incredible soulful music come to fruition and receive an official release. Definitely snatch this one up while copies are still around!
