Kalita Records reissues Muchos Plus’s highly sought-after 1979 12″ reggae disco gem ‘Nassau’s Discos’
London-based Kalita Records has been at forefront of some of the best reissues over the past few years, and that streak certainly continues with their latest release of Muchos Plus’s highly sought-after 1979 12″ reggae disco masterpiece Nassau’s Discos.
Originally privately released in a small run on bandleader Rudy Mills‘ own label U-Solo Records, this is the first ever officially licensed reissue of this record and features both the long and short versions of their tropical disco rendition of The Beginning of the End’s massive Caribbean funk jam “Funky Nassau”. To help cool things off a bit, the laid back reggae groover “Love Misunderstood” is included on the flip.
Fully remastered, the reissue also includes extensive liner notes based on interviews with Rudy, and never before seen photos. With originals going for upwards of $600, it’s great that Kalita Records has made this dance floor gem available again.
