Aflex Combo — Hibaros

Jazz Room Records releases superb 7inch of Aflex Combo’s version of B & G Rhythm’s “Hibaros”

The latest release from Paul Murphy’s Jazz Room Records features a superb jazz-funk 7inch single from Aflex Combo, which a project led by Japanese producer and multi-instrumentalist Keisuke Yamazoe.

The A-side features a brilliant rendition of the 1978 underground club classic “Hibaros” by B&G Rhythm, which included Donny Beck, Steve Gutierrez and Bobby Lyle. Building off the original, the track also has a heavy breakbeat percussion interlude in the middle that helps turn things up a notch. On the flip includes the Latin-flavored groover “Something Blue”, that has a bit of a Cal Tjader-meets-acid jazz vibe. Both selections are primetime ready for the dancefloor.

Another “must-own” release from Jazz Room Records!

Aflex Combo’s ‘Hibaros’ 7″ is officially released on September 27, 2024, however I believe some copies are already circulating globally.
