Italian producer, singer & DJ Mistura Pura releases stellar Brazilian-influenced 7inch single
As we forge our way into the new year, let’s first take a look at one of the fantastic 7inch released on vinyl at the end of 2022 — An incredible two track single, titled Vamo Vive from Italian producer, singer, vinyl collector, DJ and music producer Mistura Pura (aka Federica Grappasonni).
Over the last several years, Mistura Pura has been a highly in-demand DJ selector throughout Italy, including Milan, the isle of Panarea, Eolian Islands, and Sicily. Prior to that, she was a live performer, often in a duo or full band setting. Inspired by a memorable walk on a Adriatic beach during the pandemic, in which she witnessed children building a sand castle and the sense of freedom and playful innocence that went along with that act, she produced two breezy Brazilian-inspired jazz groovers in “Vamo Vive” and “Ed è…”.
Released on Ubiquity Records, both tracks are superb and have received play from notable DJs like Colin Curtis, Gilles Peterson, Kev Beadle and others. The track “Vamo Vive” was also included on BeatCaffeine’s Favorite Tracks of 2022 playlist.
With the 7inch picture-sleeve vinyl version finally available (in limited quantities), picking a copy of this record would be great way to kickstart the new year and quite possibly bring some warmth to these colder months!
