Cosmic jazz pianist Greg Foat releases spaced-out live album recorded in Ibiza
As we begin to approach the warmer months of the year, London composer/pianist and long-time BeatCaffeine favorite, Greg Foat has just released a new cosmic jazz live album recorded on May 3, 2023 at Can Rudayla in Ibiza.
Made up of three pieces, including the four-part “Pool Side”, “Dining Table Grooves”, and the two-part “Sunset”, this stellar recording blends together Balearic grooves with spacey synths, hypnotic atmospheric textures and tones, and subtle electronic rhythms that result in arguably Foat’s most cosmic excursion to date.
For this live session, Greg Foat is on a number of synths including a Moog Matriarch, Sasha Galperin is on electric guitar and bass, and Ash Robinson handles an array of different drum machines.
Whether you are looking for a laidback soundtrack to your next relaxing poolside session, or while you mindfully stargaze on a warm night, Greg Foat has delivered a brilliant music backdrop for those more meditative moments.
