BeatCaffeine’s Weekly Record Rundown June 24, 2026

I’m continuing to catch up on a number of standout releases from the past few weeks, and here are the latest BeatCaffeine Record Rundown selections. Highlights include Joe Claussell’s phenomenal remixes of Emanuele Cisi’s spiritual jazz gem “Pharoah’s Message,” Nicola Conte and Nico Lahs’ new EP reworking Italian library treasures, the highly anticipated debut album from London ensemble Your Brother’s Keeper with legendary saxophonist Gary Bartz, and the latest brilliant offering from South London producer-composer Scrimshire.

Emanuele Cisi — ‘Pharoah’s Message (Joaquin ‘Joe’ Claussell Sacred Mixes)’
(Right Tempo)

Emanuele Cisi’s new 12inch Pharoah’s Message (Joe Claussell Sacred Rhythm Remixes) on the superb Italian label Right Tempo reimagines one of standout tracks on his most recent album Rushin’ as a deep, spiritual house-jazz ritual built on Afro-diasporic percussion, cosmic textures, and extended dancefloor journeys. This DJ-focused heater feels tailor-made for this summer’s festival sets, and is already a strong contender for the year’s most essential 12inch single.

Nicola Conte, Nico Lahs — Reloved (The Afro Club Mixes)

Nicola Conte, Nico Lahs — ‘Reloved (The Afro Club Mixes)’
(Four Flies Records)

Hot on the heels of Nicola Conte & Nico Lahs’ recent Tema Due album debut for Schema Records, Universo Astratto, the latest installment of Four Flies Record’s Reloved series is it’s most club-focused yet, recasting 70s Italian library and soundtrack gems as simmering afro-house and tribal jazz burners. Hypnotic percussion, minimalist electronics, and sensual, ritualistic grooves slowly build into mesmeric dancefloor spirals, each track retaining its original melodic identity while gaining contemporary low-end weight, smoky atmosphere, and a deeply transportive, after-hours-in-Rome kind of cinematic heat.

Your Brother's Keeper & Gary Bartz — Where Rivers Meet

Your Brother’s Keeper & Gary Bartz — ‘Where Rivers Meet’
(Brownswood)

Born out of a live set at the inaugural We Out Here Festival in 2019 and later crystallised in a direct-to-disc Night Dreamer session under the group’s previous name, Maisha, saxophone legend Gary Bartz and London ensemble Your Brother’s Keeper (bandleader, drummer, and producer Jake Long; pianist and keyboard wiz Ali MacSween; trumpeter Axel Kaner-Lidstrom; bassist Twm Dylan; percussionist Tim Doyle; and special guest saxophonist Chelsea Carmichael) reunite for Where Rivers Meet. The seven-track album, released on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label, channels Bartz’s spiritual jazz lineage into expansive, slow-burning pieces shaped by deep listening, modern influences, modal grooves, and collective improvisation, as the group’s layered horns, hypnotic rhythm section, and analogue textures culminate in one of the year’s most notable collaborations.

Scrimshire — Bring Our Light to Every Corner

Scrimshire — ‘Bring Our Light To Every Corner’
(Albert’s Favourites)

Drawing on his love of 60s and 70s spiritual jazz, folk, and soul, South London producer-composer Scrimshire’s Bring Our Light To Every Corner is a brilliant expansive set shaped by his touring experiences and allowing his live sets to slowly unfold, where songs were allowed to breathe and evolve in the room. Voices drift in choirs, instrumental passages unfurl patiently, and guest singers like Daudi Matsiko, Faye Houston, Margomool, Rob Hynd, and Jay Brown help the music glow with communal warmth. Interestingly, a curious and unintentional “26” numerical thread of the 26/06/26 release date, 26-character title, and catalogue number ALBF-LP026—adds a subtle sense of mystery and personal lore to the recording.
