In advance of the much-anticipated January release of the full-length album Firebird by UK pioneering DJ and producer Chris Bangs, Acid Jazz Records has issued a brilliant new 7inch featuring two incredible Brazilian-influenced gems from that recording.

The A-side features a rendition of Cal Tjader’s 1967 classic “Samba do Sueno”, while the flip is an uptempo percussive-heavy Brazilian carnival style groover, titled “Soccer Samba” (released just in time for the 2022 World Cup!).

As we countdown to the release of Firebird (which cover art is also a nod to the legendary CTI label), this massive 45rpm single will certainly be a dancefloor filler through the holiday season and beyond. Definitely one of the best 7inch releases of 2022!
