Helsinki-duo Timo Lassy & Teppo Mäkynen release brilliant new single on We Jazz Records
Two of Finland’s most highly regarded jazz musicians, in saxophonist Timo Lassy and drummer Teppo Mäkynen, release a brand new 7inch single off of We Jazz Records.
Featuring two of the latest “Finnish jazz album of the year” winners, this recording from the Helsinki-based duo two incredible “straight to the point” tracks. Side A features the slow funk groover “Zomp,” while the B-side track “Dark Magenta” takes a more uptempo rhythmic approach with a slight hint of electronic effects.
Overall, this is another great forty-five release from Finland’s We Jazz Records. Look for a full-length release from the duo on June 14th.
