The Magic Twins — Magic Theme

The Magic Twins release superb new jazz dance re-edit 12inch on Basic Fingers

The production tag team The Magic Twins, made up of Shiho and Yuhiro, have put together two phenomenal new jazz dance re-edits for a debut release on the UK’s Basic Fingers label.

Already getting regular play by Collin Curtis, Giles Peterson and others, both tracks are absolutely superb, with a heavy dose of Fender Rhodes grooves, jazz-funk, and funky Latin percussion rhythms. “Magic Theme” is a reworking of Eddie Russ’ jazz dance classic 1976 “Zaius”, while on the flip the duo put a new spin on Lonnie Liston Smith’s 1978 cosmic disco gem “Bright Moments”.

Overall, an outstanding re-edit release that should find it’s way soon to just about every jazz dancefloor.
