When it comes to an EP release, Steve Conry’s Ten Lovers Music seems to have mastered the format with their ongoing Best of Various, and now more recently, The Coin series. The UK-label has just put out Volume 3, which includes selections from Italian pianist and producer Marcello Cassanelli, and a new project from Caruso with Helen McCormack.

The A side features three brilliant tracks from Cassanelli, including the funky disco-fied “Starlight”, the Latin-flavored jazz dance gem “Tropical Breeze”, and short cosmic keys excursion in “Dream Horizon” to help wind things down. This marks the follow-up to Cassanelli’s superb 2024 7″ release Espresso, which also came out on the TLM label.

On the flip, production crew Caruso teams up with vocalist Helen McCormack on two of their tracks, including the UK street soul-inspired “Have and Hold” and the soulful atmospheric “Love You More”. Notably, the percussion is provided by familiar TLM artist and contributor Takashi Nakazato (Kyoto Jazz Massive/Jazztronik), and both tracks were produced by Steve Conry. The EP concludes with a massive deep house cut “Central”, which is primed for peak moments on the dancefloor.

Already quickly flying off shelves, Steve Conry and Ten Lovers Music have put out one of the true early gems of 2025, and quickly established The Coin EP releases as a prime series worth keeping tabs on moving forward.
