Ten Lovers Music celebrates 40 releases with superb new 7inch from Italian producer Stefano De Santis

Italian producer and keyboard wiz Stefano De Santis follows up last year’s standout Unreachable Galaxy EP with a superb new 7inch, titled Barra Nova. This release also represents the 40th record issued by the fantastic UK-based label Ten Lovers Music, which was founded back in 1996 and run by Steve Conry.

The recording’s title track, builds off the energy of De Santis’ recent Ten Lovers Music track “Song For George D” (2022’s Best of Various), blending together Brazilian-influenced jazz fusion, cosmic keyboard grooves, and broken beat rhythms primed for the dancefloor. On the flip, the Stefano slows things down a bit on “Partido#2”, with a more balearic-meets-broken beat vibe.

For the two-track session, Stefano plays a number of keys including Rhodes, Moog, Prophet 5, Solina Strings Ensemble, Juno 6, and upright piano, as well as the percussion on the recording.

Overall, Ten Lovers Music has put forth one of the year’s early essential 7inch singles from an artist that is quickly making waves among the broken beat and jazz dance scenes.
