Here is part 2 of last month’s SPACE kickoff set featuring myself (TJ Gorton) and special guest DJ Flow (At The Ave Records). We both spun a choice selection of (mostly) 70s era jazz-funk essentials, as well as a couple crossover instrumental hip-hop beats.
Last month, I kicked off a new jazz-focused night called SPACE at downtown Oakland’s Soul Provisions lounge, with the goal to create a community gathering space for jazz fans, musicians, and record collectors. Each month, I will be joined by either guest DJs, or a live jazz act. From time to time, I hope to also feature vinyl vendors that specialize in jazz.
I’m excited to announce a new monthly jazz-focused night, titled SPACE at the brand new Soul Provisions lounge in uptown Oakland. Each month, I will be spinning some of my favorite jazz records, and I will be joined by guest DJs, live jazz acts, and on occasion, vinyl vendors.
