Sacred Rhythm Music, which is a pioneering label run by the legendary Joaquin “Joe” Claussell, has just released a superb posthumous EP release, titled Grace, by the late great New York house DJ and producer Carlos Sanchez featuring crossover vocal greats Gregory Porter, Bobby McFerrin, and Kenny Lattimore.

This brilliant four-track jazz-influence soulful house release kicks off with a “primed for the dancefloor” reworking of Gregory Porter’s 2010 track “Wisdom”, featuring both vocal and instrumental versions. On the flip, the EP features an incredible new version of Bobby McFerrin’s “All I Want” from his 1988 album Simple Pleasures, and a cosmic balearic version of Elton John’s 1970 “Come Down in Time” featuring vocals by Kenny Lattimore.

Great from start to finish, this EP permeates feel-good dancefloor vibes, and is the perfect kind of recording for those jazz fans that sometimes like to deep their toes into house music. Highly recommended!
