Rudy's Midnight Machine

Rudy’s Midnight Machine latest EP explores Brit-funk & balearic grooves

Under his Rudy’s Midnight Machine alias, Faze Action’s Robin Lee returns with a new five-track EP influenced heavily by early eighties British and jazz-funk.

This great new recording, titled La Cadenza, fuses tropical balearic grooves and layered synth melodies, with funky drum machine-based rhythms and punchy electric bass lines. Influenced by artists like Wally Badarou, Light Of The World, Freeez, and Atmosfear, the record definitely captures that early eighties Brit-funk sound, combined with textures of jazz and nu-disco.

Even though we are still a few months away, this brilliant new EP is definitely soundtrack material for the warmer months ahead.
