UK-based label and online record vendor KingUnderground has just reissued the previously out-of-print 2018 breakout debut album Nim Quartet, led by London bassist and composer Nim Sadot.

Originally self-released in a limited quantity of 300 copies, this brilliant 8-track album fell a bit under-the-radar when it initially came out 5 years ago. However in time, this recording has received some much-deserved praise as it’s truly one of the essential UK jazz albums of the past decade.

Also including keyboardist and pianist Hamish Balfour, trumpeter Nick Walters (22a, D.O.T Records), drummers Laurie Lowe and Yuval ‘Juba’ Wetzler, along with a couple of special guests in violinist Mei Segev and harmonica player Graham Pike, this album features a heavy fusion of spiritual cosmic textures and jazz-funk grooves.

Hopefully with a proper reissue release and strong distribution support from KingUnderground, this incredible recording will continue further receive much more attention and acclaim. Highly recommended!
