Nineteen years since the release of their debut twelve-inch single New Standards, Nicola Conte and Gianluca Petrella team up again following a string of recent singles over the past few years with a brilliant new full-length album on Schema Records, titled People Need People.

Built on a foundation of global collaboration and musical exploration, this eleven-track recording takes listeners on a sonic journey that fuses together jazz, soulful house, Detroit future dance, hip-hop, Afrobeat, spiritual grooves, modern electronic sounds, disco and just about everything in-between. The album has an uplifting cosmic dancefloor vibe that seems to be at the core of each track, which is certainly needed during these challenging times.

This recording also features a superb cast of musicians from around the globe, including MC/poet Raashan Ahmad (USA), pianist and composer Nduduzo Makhathini (South Africa), multi-instrumentalist and composer Magnus Lindgren (Sweden), singer and educator Débo Ray (USA), singer, vocalist and songwriter Bridgette Amofah (Ghana/ England), percussionist Abdissa Assefa (Ethiopia/Finland), drummer and composer Teppo Mäkynen (Finland), vibraphonist Pasquale Mirra (Italy), percussionist and drummer Simone Padovani (Italy), and Italian rising stars such as singer and producer Davide Shorty, pianist and singer Carolina Bubbico, drummer and producer Tommaso Cappellato, pianist Seby Burgio, trumpeter Mirco Rubegni, and saxophonist Pasquale Calò.
