Milan producer Larry Manteca releases 70s-inspired cosmic cinematic 7inch
Milan-based producer Larry Manteca (aka Alessandro Paiola), who over the last decade has been publishing on Youtube 70s-inspired movie soundtracks, has recently released a brilliant new 7inch single for the outstanding Italian label Four Flies.
The A-side track “UFO Bossa” is an uptempo cosmic bossa groover primed for the jazz dancefloor, featuring on-point scat vocals by Yasmine Zekri. On the flip, “Intergalactic Porno Scene” is as the titled suggests, an erotically-charged space-funk gem with a 70s Italian library feel. Both were recorded back in in 2015, and originally released as part of the funky sci-fi/erotic-themed album Mutant Virgins From Pluto, which only came out digitally.
This highly recommended 7inch is now available and limited to just 350 copies, so act fast! Looking forward to seeing what other soundtrack-inspired material from Larry Manteca makes it’s way on vinyl in hopefully the near future.
