Legendary UK deejay Colin Curtis presents volume 2 of his ‘Jazz Dance Fusion’ compilation series

Legendary UK deejay Colin Curtis presents the second volume of his superb Jazz Dance Fusion compilation series. Where the first record focused on seventies-era selections from the great vaults of Muse Records, volume two features a brilliant collection of vocal jazz and Latin-flavored cuts, all of which where previously never released on both vinyl or CD.

Featuring thirteen brilliant selections that span across four decades, this well-curated compilation is primed for the dance floor, with highlights that include Raffaela Renzulli Ensemble‘s extremely hard-to-find 1987 cut “Brasilia”, Steven Kroon‘s 2011 Latin percussive cut “Tombo 7/4”, Curtis Lundy‘s soul jazz vocal gem “Never Gonna Let You Go”, Hajime Yoshizawa’s uptempo 2008 modal groover “Celebration”, and an remarkable version of “Manteca” by the group Jam Session Goes Latino. Not only is this double LP incredible from start to finish, this compilation is also a great introduction into many under-the-radar artists and releases that are probably unknown to even the deepest jazz collectors.

Overall, Jazz Dance Fusion has to rank up there with just about any jazz compilation released in 2020 … or as Curtis often says on his weekly Saturday Worldwide.FM show, “is definitely worth your attention.”
