The Australian 9-piece group, Menagerie follows up their breakthrough 2021 full-length Many Worlds with arguably their best recording to date, titled The Shores Of Infinity. Marking their third release for the London-based Freestyle Records label, this is one of the many notable projects led by producer, songwriter, guitarist, DJ and recording artist Lance Ferguson (The Bamboos, Rare Groove Spectrum).

This brilliant 6-track recording continues to build off the group’s previous releases, putting forth a heavy-dose of groove-oriented spiritual jazz that’s strongly inspired by both the 70s post-Coltrane generation and the cutting-edge sounds that are currently coming out of London, Melbourne and other creatively thriving regions. Firmly present is a nice blend of warm toned rhodes keys, soulful horns, dynamic percussion rhythms and more.

Great from start to finish, Menagerie continues to pushing their sound to new heights on The Shores Of Infinity, which is definitely one of this year’s standout jazz releases. Highly recommended!
