Jazz Room Records presents dancefloor jazz compilation featuring brilliant covers
Legendary UK-based DJ Paul Murphy and his label Jazz Room Records has recently released a brilliant new compilation featuring fresh new renditions of notable jazz dancefloor staples, appropriately titled Jazz Room Presents: Covers.
The 2xLP release features 13 incredible tracks (including 2 digital only selections) that are either exclusive to this compilation or have never-before been released on vinyl. Great from start to finish, the record includes revamped versions of Kraftwerk’s “Trans Europa Express”, Freddie Hubbard’s “Gibraltar”, Duke Pearson’s “Sandalia Dela”, Eumir Deodato’s “Super Strut”, Horace Silver’s “Nutville”, Roy Haynes’ “Quiet Fire”, Carlos Santana’s “Jungle Strut”, Miles Davis’ “Miles” aka “Milestones”, a new rendition of Galaxy 2 Galaxy’s jazzy tech-house classic “High Tech Jazz” by the superb Japanese quartet Quasimode, and so much more!
Even though there have been some remarkable compilations to come out in 2025, Covers is arguably at the top of the list. Don’t sleep, this one is already flying off record shelves.
Highly Recommended!
