Italian label Right Tempo / Mono Jazz releases seductive 1950-60s compilation ‘The Jazz Sinners’
Soul Stirrin’ is a new compilation from the Italian label Right Tempo/Mono Jazz, curated by label boss Rocco Pandiani and Art Director Giulio “Jazzy Jules” Maini. This release serves as the launch of their The Jazz Sinners series which showcases seductive and thrilling jazz cuts from the 1950s and early 1960s.
With 15 great tracks, this collection of music transports the listener to that 50s-60s era dark smoke filled jazz night club where each note hits the soul just right. The compilation includes selections by some of the greatest names of this era, like Sonny Stitt, Curtis Fuller, Nina Simone, Mark Murphy, Duke Jordan, Art Farmer, Oscar Brown Jr., and Oliver Nelson, along with some lesser known deep cuts.
Overall, Right Tempo/Mono Jazz have put together a well-crafted and unique compilation at will simply grab and spin you right into the middle of the night. Recommended with your favorite nightcap.
