In 2006 I started a blog, and now it’s 2018 and I’m starting another music site. The early lesson I learned back in 2006 when I wrote my first post for American Athlete was that I’m not a writer, and I’m certainly not a journalist. Even though I have the upmost respect for both of those professions, I have come to the realization that is not me. I’m not a Nate Chinen, a Ben Ratliff, or a Richard Scheinin, not even close.

The point is that I have finally figured out who I am, and that’s someone who loves music. More importantly, I am someone who loves sharing my favorite records with other people. This passion for music, which started at a very young age (even before I was tall enough to see what record was being played on my parents turntable) resulted in everything from trying to breakdance to playing in rock bands and now deejaying.

With all of that being said, I will certainly do my best to write articulate, insightful, and educated posts that include accurate facts, however I will definitely make some errors. In the end, I hope I’m able to achieve the most important and only mission for this website, and that is to share the music I love with anyone who is willing to listen.
