IG Culture returns with incredible new Likwid Continual Space Motion album ‘The Remedy’
UK broken beat legend and producer IG Culture returns with his groundbreaking cosmic jazz project Likwid Continual Space Motion (aka LCSM) to release the 18-track full-length album, titled The Remedy, which brilliantly connect the many fabrics of London’s Underground dance music scene.
This recording fusing together funky jazz instrumentation, broken beat, UK street soul, mind-bending Afro-futuristic grooves, and influences spawned from within London club culture. The idea and the complex world of fungi also played an influence within the music and the overall concept of the album, acting as almost a metaphor for wide array of sub-genres and scenes with the UK scene. This is arguably the most expansive among the LCSM releases.
The session, which features innovative production and synths from IG Culture, also includes a number of collaborators and guests, including vocalists Allysha Joy, Rara Zulu, and Oliver Night, saxophonist and vocalist Tyrone Isaac Stuart, the Ghettolette String Ensemble, Dwayne ‘Wonky Logic’ Kilvington (Wurlitzer and keys), Don Myth (Hammond B3 and rhodes), trombonist Nathaniel Cross, saxophonist Deji Ijishakan, bassist Luke Wynter, drummer Benjamin Appiah and more.
IG Culture’s LCSM continues to show us the way forward, creating music for the future while celebrating the roots and the foundation of London’s vast and highly fruitful dance culture scenes. Indulge yourself in the sounds and be prepared to get lifted!
