Cognitiva and ANMA Records team up to highlight the new futuristic jazz sounds across Europe
Cognitiva and ANMA Records have teamed up to release an incredible new compilation, titled Outlines, which highlights a new generation of exciting producers from across Europe, whom are fusing together jazz, broken beat and house in adventurous new ways.
This 10-track recording is split into two sections, with the first side having a more jazz focused sound, while the flip touches upon more house, broken beat, and electronic vibes. In a way, the record is set-up as you might hear these tracks in a club setting, building the sound and intensity with each track, from Future Jazz Ensemble and XL Regular‘s spacey jazz-funk cut “Astral Sorcery” and Aura Safari‘s cosmic jazz dance groover “Velvet Horizon” to taking bit of a breather on Karmasound and FootNote‘s soulful “Peace Of Mind” and Footshooter and Allysha Joy‘s two-step joint “Hibiscuss”, only to work the dancefloor up into new orbits with the final two tracks in Contours and Werkha‘s “Sweat” and Roy Vision‘s “4411”.
From start to finish and everything in-between, this brilliant new compilation collectively showcases some the upcoming forward-thinking artists and minds that could help push the sounds of jazz, broken beat, and house into the future. Highly recommended!
