This past Tuesday, on July 23, 2024, I had the great honor of operating the Devon Turnbull HiFi Soundsystem as a part of SFMOMA’s ‘Art of Noise‘ exhibition, which was curated by Associated Curator of Architecture and Design Joseph Becker.
This past Sunday, March 19, 2023, I ran the Oakland Half Marathon, as a part of the week-long Oakland Running Festival. The weather was a little rainy and windy this year, but overall it’s a really great annual event that I highly recommend checking out and participating in.
With this Thursday’s SPACE night at Soul Provisions featuring a heavy emphasis on some of the many incredible jazz releases recently coming out of London, I have put together a 40+ track Spotify playlist featuring many of my favorite tracks by artists that are currently coming out of this scene.
Here is part 2 of last month’s SPACE kickoff set featuring myself (TJ Gorton) and special guest DJ Flow (At The Ave Records). We both spun a choice selection of (mostly) 70s era jazz-funk essentials, as well as a couple crossover instrumental hip-hop beats.
