Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter

Over the past week, I haven’t posted much on this site. I’ve chosen to instead take a step back, listen, learn, understand my privilege as a white man who is very immersed in black music and culture, and think about the ways I can fight against racial injustices and police brutality. I know I can do more, I need to do more, and I will do more.

I am inspired by black music and culture, and this website is inspired by black music and culture. Moving forward I will also use this platform and social media channels as not only a place to help promote music and artists, but to also share resourceful materials and amplify black voices that are making a difference in this fight.

The focus of this website will continue to be heavily based around music, as I do feel that it’s also extremely important to support artists during these challenging times, however I do feel the need to also use this platform to speak out against racism.

There is a lot more learning that I need to do myself, however I am committed to doing my part. Systematic change is not easy, nor will it happen over night, however I remain hopeful for a better tomorrow.

Black Lives Matter.
