Gerardo Frisina — ‘In Sight Vol.01’
(Schema Records)
When it comes to seamlessly blurring the sounds of jazz, house, and Afro-Latin music, Italian composer and producer Gerardo Frisina has set the standard for more than two decades. He follows up his recent collaborative release with Tomaz ”Toco” Di Cunto and Luzia Dvorek with the first of a two part record series, titled In Sight. The 7-track recording see’s Frisina continuing to expand his signature dancefloor jazz sound into new dimensions, incorporating more cosmic futuristic textures and grooves into the music. Another brilliant release from one of this generation’s most forward-thinking artists.

Jazz N Palms — ‘Mata / Xiprell’ 7″
(Terrasolare)
Renowned Spanish producer Riccio aka Jazz N Palms returns with his second 7inch release for the London-based Terrasolare label, feature two sun-drenched balearic jazz-funk tracks with a slightly AOR vibe. He’s joined on the session by keyboardist Pere Navarro, bassist and guitarist Omar Alcaide, saxophonist Franco Botto, and drummer/percussionist Christian Delgado. Two tracks that are perfect compliments to your next beach party.

Nat Birchall — ‘Drums In Dub’
(Ancient Archive in Sound)
Manchester-based multi-instrumentalist Nat Birchall, who’s made a strong name for himself as a saxophonist among the UK jazz scene, continues his explorations into the sounds of Jamaica with another incredible instrumental reggae dub influence album, titled Drums in Dub. Similar to many of his most recent recordings, Birchall handles all the instrumentation and recording himself. For jazz fans, this is the perfect gateway into the sounds of dub. Don’t sleep, these records also sell out quickly!

Knats — ‘s/t’
(Gearbox Records)
Knats, is a UK-based quintet led by two lifelong best mates from Newcastle Upon Tyne, bassist Stan Woodward and drummer King David-Ike Elechi, alongside virtuoso Trumpeter, Ferg Kilsby and a number of other guests. They have just released their brilliant self-titled debut album for Gearbox Records, featuring 10-tracks that fuse together jazz-funk, cosmic grooves, dynamic percussion, soaring horns and soulful instrumental melodies all aimed at the dancefloor. Great from start to finish, this is definitely one of the best albums released so far in 2025!
